Jerry Burton and his book Zora Arkus-Duntov: The Legend Behind Corvette won Gold medals in both the Biography and Design: Jacket categories at the 2002 International Automotive Media Awards. The awards ceremony was hosted by the Madison Avenue Sports Car Driving & Chowder Society at Sardi's in New York on November 12. The IAMA awards are chosen from among some 400 automotive media entries across 11 different divisions.
